Introduction - My personal story with CFS

For many years I have been dealing with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)*. I tried out all kind of things to help myself. And I only could try them when I had enough energy to do anything. Very soon I noticed that "trying" meant of lot of "doing", which often made me even more tired. So "doing" stuff was possible in a very small amount or not at all. It was a state of "being" that was healing.


I also noticed, that many people - including medical doctors - do not understand this illness and my state. No one really can imagine it and often people think in terms of some psychological problem, which only needs to be fixed and then everything will be like it was before. Or just having enough rest. But that is not how this chronical illness (and many other) works. The awareness about it is slowily growing lately due to long COVID, which has a similar long-term fatigue. For me it was important to get in contact with people who really knew what CFS means and what I was going through. And yet - I could only be in contact with people, when I had enough energy. Being in contact also takes energy.

So without a medical support that felt good to me, I had to listen to my intuition and develop my own healing way. And my biggest healer was the forest. In the forest, in the nature, my body remembered how to be natural and started remembering its own self-healing powers. The forest was nourishing me with exactly what I needed. And it was just there, present, not wanting anything from me. It was simply giving by being there, pouring its natural medicine. It was a very slow process of recovery. But today I feel much better and I feel deep gratitude to the forest, to the nature and its healing powers, that do not ask for anything in return. We are blessed with their gifts. 


It was my inner voice that strongly drew me into the woods as my healing space. Checking the researches later, I have found out that it is scientifically proven that time spend in the woods strongly supports our immune system. The number of killer cells (very important cells that initiate immune system) grows 40% after one day in the forest and 100% after one week. Particularly medically effective are terpenoids, given off by conifers such as spruce, pine and fir trees. Terpenoids can succesfully destroy tumor cells (read more in Geo Magazine).


Now that I have recovered well enough (though I still have relapses from time to time), I have a wish to support others who feel similar as I did. Cause I really know what a hard place it is to be. So this 2 hour healing space is meant for those, who feel chronicly exhausted and stuck in their recovery process. It does not have to be CFS, but also long COVID, burn out or any kind of exhaustion or chronic illness. The healing space is meant to be a place of being understood by fellow beings in a similar state. And it is meant to ask nothing of you, really nothing! We will practice simple being in a surrounding of a forest and enjoy being taken into the heart of its healing by not needing to do anything. We will descover how the state of beingness is actually supporting our self-regulation, so it becomes a resource for any time in our life, not only in the forest. 

Who is this OFFER for?

This group is for you if you have some of these problems:

  • Are you chronicly ill? Do you feel deeply exhausted and stuck in your healing process?
  • Do you feel, that nobody understands and takes serious how deeply exhausted you are? 
  • Do you think that you should be doing "more" of whatever to heal yourself? Like more sports, more diet, just more "healthy stuff", but it doesn't work and you are just getting more exhausted, even when you do it? 
  • Do you carry deep inside a feeling of shame, of not "mastering it", of not being lovable, cause you don't have enough energy to be "entertaining" or powerful? Or maybe you notice, that you are avoiding contact, cause you feel not good enough to "deliver"?
  • Do you avoid intimacy, cause it is too painful to constantly feel "less" than you should/want to be and to feel that you are not really understood even by your closest beloved ones?
  • Do you have hard time to relax into just "being", doing nothing, receiving?
  • Do you consciously know that nature is good for you, but once you are there, your head is too busy to relax and absorb the healing energy?

The Benefits of Forest Healing

It is scientifically proven that spending time in forests:

  • Strengthens our immune system. The trees and plants in the forest produce substances (phytoncidesm terpenoids), which nourish our immune system and strengthen our natural killer (NK) cells.
  • Reduces anxiety and stress and lowers the stress hormone cortisol.
  • Reduces high blood pressure, preventing heart attacks, angina and strokes. 
  • Increases creativity (for even 50%) in solving problems.
  • Reduces depression and brings good mood, joy and calm.


This healing space in the forest lasts approx. 2 hours. Just like any fatigue requires, I will guide you through light meditations and slow activity combined with pure relaxation and healing pauses. If the 2 hour time feels too long and too exhausting, you can always stop earlier. Self-care is the most important!


In case of rain, we will choose another date, as this gives us less oportunity to sit and rest, when it's needed. 


Healing space includes:

  • The most important: You don't have to do anything! Suffering from fatigue, it is already a great achievment that you have managed to make it all the way to the forest. That is more than enough!
  • Beingness-Meditation: We will practice simple being. No doing. Being with our body, welcoming our state just as it is, with compassion. The state of Being is already healing!
  • Receiving Forest Healing: We will allow the healing energy of the forest to heal us. We will practice to consciously receive
  • Safe sharing: If you wish to share, you are welcome. Take advantage of being in a group that deeply understands your suffering.
  • If pandemics allows it, I will offer a short individual healing work on the aura, for those who are interested.
